With more than 25 years’ experience in talent acquisition and employer brand, Ali’s career started at recruitment communications agencies before moving into RPO and in-house roles. Ali then spent time working as an independent TA and employer brand consultant across many industries. Ali founded Meet & Engage in 2015 with a vision to shape a business that provides award-winning products to a market she knows well. As CEO, it’s her role to lead a team of brilliant people and empower them to be their best.
The Long
I feel fortunate to work in a sector where technology and social impact can overlap. During the pandemic, we’ve seen technology democratise information for candidates and access to employers. As a result, brands now need to work harder than ever to provide the best experience.
At Meet & Engage, we have corporate charity initiatives but also team challenges where we come together – mostly remotely – to get behind a charity we want to support. This sense of purposeful collaboration means a lot to me personally and galvanises our team. We also provide corporate support to the One Hour Project – a pioneering charity that is working to level the playing field for young people, where many of our team members serve as mentors.
I am a passionate believer in creating opportunities, supporting and celebrating others – this goes for both work and life. Outside of the office, I like hanging out with loved ones, reading, cooking, eating food and playing tennis (badly).
