The Covid-19 lockdown has been in place around the world for many weeks now and while the UK and other large economies are starting to relax restrictions, social distancing is likely to be encouraged for some time. This will continue to pose a significant challenge to HR and recruitment, particularly when it comes to how organisations have traditionally onboarded new starters.

However, sophisticated digital tools – from video live streaming to live chat to chatbot technologies – mean an employer’s onboarding aims can now largely be achieved virtually, and without sacrificing on engagement levels.
